strava: https://www.strava.com/athletes/10124241 @TheAthleteSpecial After weeks of copying Jakob Ingebrigtsen’s training, this is the finale: a full send at the BOLDERBoulder 10K. The goal was simple enough on paper: take inspiration from one of the best runners in the world, survive the workouts, sharpen up, and see what happens on race day. The reality was a little messier. Big sessions, altitude, fatigue, a few failed workouts, and the questionable decision to race a massive 10K at 5,400 feet as the final exam. This episode follows the end of the build, the final workout, race morning, and the BOLDERBoulder 10K itself. I came in off a 15:53 road 5K at sea level and wanted to see how close I could get to a strong 10K performance on one of the biggest and weirdest road races in the country. Thanks for following the Copying Jakob series. This one hurt.
