The infinite source lies within you. Until now, attention has been moving outward. Toward objects, thoughts, actions, the world. In this outward movement, we experience ourselves as limited. Fragmented. Changing. Spanda Karika Verse 16 speaks of a shift. An inward turn. Not withdrawal from life, but a shift of attention. From what is seen to that which sees. When this happens, something becomes clear. The awareness that was always present is now recognized. Not as an object, but as your own being. This inner state is the ground of all-knowing. Not knowing all information, but recognizing that which is present in all knowing. Like a wave discovering it is water. The same water present in all waves. When it turns inward toward its own substance, the sense of limitation dissolves. The boundary of "I" expands. The verse says this recognition does not disappear. Why? Because once the source is seen, nothing remains outside it to cover it again. Thoughts may arise, emotions may come and go. But they no longer disturb the background. Because the background is now known. This is Spanda Karika Verse 16.
