Where every mantra finds its silence. Where do all mantras arise? And where do they finally return? The answer is beautifully simple. They arise from the same infinite consciousness, and dissolve back into it. Just as thousands of waves arise from the ocean and return to it without ever becoming separate, countless mantras emerge from the silent ground of awareness and merge back into that silence. Think of the open sky. Birds fly across it, clouds gather and disappear, yet the sky remains untouched. Likewise, innumerable mantras, thoughts and prayers arise within consciousness, play their part, then return to the silence they came from. The source itself remains ever pure. As the seeker matures, attention shifts. Earlier the mind was fascinated by the sound. Now it discovers the stillness that carries it. A river is not denied when it reaches the ocean.
