English Translation: Saints can avert destiny. Our heart is not pure – that is why there is a delay. Says Paltu: Love your Beloved like indelible dye – the cloth may become tattered but the colour remains. What can the Satguru do   if the disciple does not put in the effort? Says Paltu: How can one blame water   if wax does not absorb it? Says Paltu: Whatever saints want, they do.   They can do anything. Once you meet a saint,   it is easy to find the Lord. It is easy to find the Lord,   but difficult to find a saint. Says Paltu: Without meeting a saint,   one is not attuned to Nam. Whatever saints say, Paltu, only that is true. The words of saints cannot be changed   like a stretch of train track. One performs recitations, penances, pilgrimages,   fasts, yoga, and religious observances   but without meditating on Nam,   one can never cross the ocean of existence. I have not accomplished anything,   nor am I capable of doing so;   my Lord alone accomplishes all. He is the doer and he Himself gets everything done,   yet Paltu is the one who receives all the praise! As the people of the world gradually get annoyed   with me, it benefits me. Says Paltu: No one can harm you even in the slightest   when the Lord is with you. This shabad is published by Radha Soami Satsang Beas. You may visit our official website at: www.rssb.org
