English Translation: I shall fan the saints, fetch water, and grind corn for them; I sing songs in praise of God’s virtues. Through remembrance of Nam with every breath my mind finds the treasure of peace. Show your compassion, O my Lord, and grant me the wisdom alwaysto meditate on you. By your grace, worldly love and pride are eliminated and all delusion is shattered. God, the embodiment of bliss, pervades all, so wherever I go, I see him. You, O Lord, are merciful and compassionate, a treasure of grace and purifier of sinners. Remembrance of your Nam, even for a moment, brings millions of comforts, joys, and kingdoms. Only the repetition, penance or devotion that is pleasing to the Lord is perfect. Through repetition of Nam all thirst is quenched and Nanak is contented and fulfilled.
