English Translation: The Lord is my mind, my body, my life. I know no other but the Lord. If by good fortune I meet a saint, he will show me the way to my love – the Lord. I have searched through my body and mind – oh, how shall I get to my love? I join the company of the holy and I know that my Lord abides there. My love, my true Guru, you are my refuge; I am your poor child, sustain me. The true Guru is my father and mother. Getting Water from the Guru, O dear, my heart-lotus blooms. Without seeing you, I find no sleep, and my body and mind suffer the pain of separation. Says Nanak: Take pity on me, O Lord, and let me meet with my Guru so that I may blossom.
