English Translation: The honour of a disciple lies in his obedience to the Satguru   even if the Guru rebukes him a million times. Never leave his door, says Sahjo;   keep this firmly engraved in your mind. Have the Guru’s darshan, O Sahjo;   contemplate on his form. Forsaking the pride of your clan,   dedicate yourself to the service of the Guru. Do not hide anything from the Guru –   never lie to him. Whether good or bad, true or false,   disclose everything to the Guru. The Guru will protect you, says Sahjo;   he will eradicate all your suffering and strife. How can you hide anything from the Guru, O blind one? He knows your mind. Meeting the Satguru, says Sahjo,   one is completely transformed;   the crow metamorphoses into a swan   and reaches its long-forgotten home. My Guru showered his grace upon me. Asks Sahjo: How can I describe it? Every pore of my body is inundated with bliss   and I am rendered speechless. He who comes to satsang after renouncing pride of caste and creed –   his dross and impurity is washed away,   just as water flowing into the Ganges becomes pure, O Sahjo. On finding the Guru, the desire of countless lifetimes is fulfilled. O Sahjo, one who has love and devotion dwells in the company of the saints. O Sahjo, let your eyes be imbued with the Master’s darshan. The smouldering fever of the three afflictions will be extinguished,   and your body will be cooled. O Sahjo, on beholding my master, I offer my life as a sacrifice to him;   for with his grace I have attained the fearless state of liberation. He has extricated her from the misery of this world   and has helped her attain the state of salvation. Sahjo offers her life as a sacrifice at the feet of Charandas.
