I came across a traditional monkey street performance in Pakistan performed by a monkey charmer known locally as a “madari.” What started as entertainment quickly turned into a dramatic story involving horrible in-laws and black magic. Monkey Charmers are traditional South Asian street performers and animal handlers found across Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. Historically, madari travelled from town to town performing with monkeys, bears, snakes, and other animals to entertain crowds in markets and villages. These performances often mixed comedy, storytelling, music, social satire, and folk beliefs. Monkey performances by madari have existed for generations and were once a common part of street culture across the subcontinent. Today, however, they’ve become increasingly controversial due to animal welfare concerns and changing laws around the use of wild animals for entertainment. Would you shake the monkey’s hand? I refused because of the rabies risk. 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 1) SUBSCRIBE! ✔ Click https://www.youtube.com/c/KarlRock/?sub_confirmation=1 Then smash the BELL ICON so you don't miss a 🔴live stream or video. 2) SUPPORT MY CONTENT & GET SPECIAL BENEFITS 🙏🏻❤️ Press the blue JOIN button or https://www.youtube.com/c/KarlRock/join. 3) WANT TO TRAVEL TO INDIA?
