These truck camper shells with a small cabover have become incredibly common over the recent years. This shell is perfect because it is light weight for the truck but still has a good amount of room for moving around and simple truck bed living. We have been building these truck toppers here in Palmer Alaska since 1971. Specifically the cabinet canopy which is a truck cap that sets on the bed rails of the truck but still has a cabover. We have recently named it our Yukon Model. Many companies, such as Moonlander, have began making these shells in recent years but it is not a new idea. The concept behind them is awesome because it gives you more space than a traditional truck cap but is still light weight and tight to the truck. You can store your gear out of the way so that you have room to do a build out inside whether that be fold down bunks or a counter or a heater, or a battery generator. There are all kinds of things that can be done on these. Most of the folks buying these from us are getting them for the camper shell and then they do DIY camper build outs. Most of them are simple with fold down bunks and battery generators or little diesel and dickensen propane heaters. They're awesome. Some folks are using them for work such as construction, while others are using them for year round, four season play and overlanding setups.
