Folks have been curious and asked many times how our Fishhook truck camper will fit on their long bed trucks, and how it affects their truck suspension. So, we went ahead and did this video. We will also do the camper walk through video for this one as well. Pickup truck payloads are all over the place. Even if you have a 2500, that does not mean that the suspension is the same as all 2500 class trucks. This goes for each truck class, 1500 2500 and 3500. The key is the trim level of the truck. What does the door payload sticker say. This will determine what size truck camper can or should actually be carried on your truck. Our Fishhook camper model will most certainly work on any long bed truck but there may need to be a spacer or two used. Truck only squatted 2 inches. That is perfect. The suspension is loaded just enough to absorb the load but not enough to cause wear and tear from being over loaded. This is just a perfect to slightly over kill truck and camper combo. We have been fortunate to build truck campers and toppers here in Palmer Alaska since 1971. That is 54-years of manufacturing here in our great state and we plan to be here for another 50 years.
