In this video we show how we wrap the metal around the corners on our camper builds. This is the most important step in the metaling process for truck campers and toppers. These are wooden structures and are wrapped in sheet aluminum. It is an exceptional camper build method if done properly and with good craftsmanship. So many manufacturers today have gone away from solid build methods in the name of inferior materials, but the truth is that there is an excellent way to build a camper out of an integration of wood and aluminum construction but it relies on skilled labor and that has become more and more difficult to maintain and compete with. So, many manufacturers automate to save on margin and meet competitive market prices. This is entirely okay but it requires a completely different production approach that must rely on lower workmanship skill. If you are doing a DIY truck camper build or truck topper build, you can slow down and use the exceptional production method that we use and have an awesome DIY truck camping setup. We are a smaller manufacturer and have been building these truck campers and toppers here in Alaska since 1971. That's 54-years of rough environment experience. The build methods we use just work but they are hard to scale up and use on a large manufacturing level because they are expensive. We are also in a difficult place geographically to ship our units out on large scale. So, we will remain a small manufacturer. That is completely okay with us. We are happy and privileged to have a customer base all over the world. If you would like to learn more about us, visit our website and browse.
