The entire episode is shot from Frank's first-person perspective. One day in the life of Frank Reynolds: first-person, uninterrupted, through his eyes. The gang has a plan. The plan has actual blueprints. The blueprints are to get Dennis's car back. What happens between here and there is harder to summarize. Hwang the landlord chokes on snake meat. Bill Ponderosa produces armpit drugs. There is a Jewish funeral, a medicine cabinet, a motorboating incident at the hospital, and a trunk. Frank ends up where the gang needed him, more or less. The last scene is the first time Always Sunny has ever let you see Nightcrawlers in action. Post-reaction: Crank comes up immediately. Then Hardcore Henry. Then Fear and Loathing when the ether kicks in. Both hosts agree this is Always Sunny doing something formally interesting — finding a new angle in Season 11, more than a decade in, still squeezing funny out of new ways to do it. The Discord notes that Shelly Desai, who played Hwang since Season 1 of the show, passed away earlier this year at 90. Syntell lands at 8 out of 10. The open question that doesn't have a clean answer: if they did this from Charlie's perspective, or Dennis's, or Mac's — would it be funny or would it be something else entirely?
