There is a mysterious hole in the floor of Paddy's Pub. The gang has been throwing things into it for three hours. This is not the biggest problem they are about to face. Frank announces his retirement. He owns 51% of Paddy's Pub. Whoever gets Frank's shares gets the throne — and the gang immediately turns on each other. Dennis and Dee invoke the blood-oath succession plan written on a bar napkin. Charlie reminds them they're Bruce Matthysse's kids, not Frank's, which opens up the question of whether Charlie himself might be Frank's actual heir. Mac plays both sides. Then Mac tells both sides he's playing both sides. Meanwhile, a blood bucket is used to run a paternity test — the same blood bucket that already contained blood from four different people and at least one animal. Frank is slowly drained of so much blood that he spends the rest of the episode looking like a Danny DeVito zombie. Dennis's master plan involves a man named Frankito — a guy he spotted at Wawa who looks vaguely like Frank and is being passed off as Frank's secret son by a former maid. Dennis explains his entire scheme out loud to everyone. Mac chokes himself unconscious trying to throw Charlie out. The hole in the floor is never investigated. The post-reaction has everything: Dennis needing to be killed with scorched earth, Frankito being one of the best things the show has ever done, Danny DeVito slowly dying across the entire runtime, the blood bucket vs. the blood bag (the shopping bag full of blood actively leaking on everything was worse), whether the Charlie paternity mystery is better off never being solved, the infinite hole becoming permanent lore, and Dennis being sociopath 101 — he can't keep getting away with it.
