An electric blanket shorts out while the gang watches The Wiz, and the next 25 minutes are a full-on musical body-switch comedy where nobody can figure out "the rules." Quantum Leap, Freaky Friday, Face/Off — none of the reference points map onto what's happening. Scott Bakula has feelings about that. Chad L. Coleman shows up. Frank desperately, desperately wants to say the N-word. The episode is a comedy right up until it isn't. Charlie — now a young Black kid — lifts a toy train to show a police officer. That moment lands exactly the way the writers intended it to land. The gang wakes up. It was all a dream. What are the rules? Post-reaction: Rekkai loved it. He connects the ending directly to Tamir Rice and to the "A Time to Kill" moment — the scene forces you to ask what the kid did wrong and you can't answer it. That's the point. For the audience that watches Sunny, you were there and you saw it happen. Syntell laughed through the entire episode except for that one moment, and says this is the first episode in 11+ seasons he'd skip on rewatch. Both hosts want the show to keep swinging this big.
