Hello friends! I came across some very intriguing dyestuffs: staghorn lichen, also known as oakmoss lichen or evernia prunastri and common greenshield lichen, flavoparmelia caperata. Both are ammonia reacting dyesources. The oakmoss lichen is even promised to yield a purple dye. My wool and yarn don't know what's coming for them! So, let's drop them in an ammonia solution for a couple of weeks and let's dye some yarn! The results aren't entirely what I hoped for, but the colours we dye with these lichens are amazing nonetheless. Perfect autumnal dyestuff if you ask me. But a way of dyeing that takes up quite a bit of time.
