Hello friends! The quest for the perfect green dye continues. Today we're letting a dice decide on which dyesources we'll be using for today's experiments. And chaos and fate have decided it will be goldenrod and yarrow. And I am very happy to report that Tansy might still be my new favourite dyesource because whowheee that is some bright yellow and green wool we get out of our dyevat. We are dyeing some Hampshire Down wool in this video, which will be first mordanted with alum before it enters the dyepot, and afterwards will get a bath of an ironwater modifier. All as explained in Jenny Dean's Wild Colour.
