Hello friends! In a couple of days the Tour de Fleece is starting and I plan to participate. Last year I asked you all which sheep breed every spinner should experience at least once in their lifetime, and the answer apparently is Shetland. So I bought a Shetland fleece. But it is such a tiny fleece... I'm also going to spin a massive Zwartbles fleece this Tour. So, you know the drill: before we can spend the entirety of de Tour de France spinning, we need to clean these wool fleeces. In this video I'm skirting, scouring and carding until I have two plastic tubs filled with over 30 batts of the softest sheep's wool.
