Hello friends! Getting started with natural dyeing might seem a bit daunting. Especially in winter. I already did a video in this format where I walk and point at some plants you could dye with. But I thought: that was summer, that's too easy, what if you want to start with natural or botanical dyeing in winter? What dyeplants are around in winter? So let's go on a little walk and I'll show you some easy recognisable plants that make for great dyes for your wool and yarns. Some videos of previous experiments: - apple peels: https://youtu.be/IXcsjnhCxVk - lichen: https://youtu.be/iczlkNrngvg - oak galls: https://youtu.be/AYgLOs0YHHA - ivy berries: https://youtu.be/cXVIRjn0yyY Oh and because it is super useful information, here is Jenny Dean's blog: https://www.jennydean.co.uk/category/dyeing-tips-recipes/ If you want to join in on the chaos, you can join the patreon via: https://www.patreon.com/MijnWolden You can also find me on Ravelry and Instagram as @MijnWolden If you enjoy spinning, yarn, knitting, fiber arts or any other traditional craft then this channel is right up your alley.
