From @obxospreycam on August 15, 2026. Bandit catches a blue crab. Or does the crab catch Bandit? Several clips here. First, we see Bandit triangulate, dive, and come back with a little blue crab. She's so proud of her first catch! She fidgets and the crab latches a serrated claw onto Bandit's toe. We get a closeup of that from the PTZ cam. Then, after twelve minutes of standing on the crab, with the crab pinching her toe, she has had enough. She jumps and flaps over to the left side of the nest, dragging the crab along. The crab releases her; she shakes her freed foot. She moves away from the crab for a bit, watching it warily. She then goes back to the crab, makes moves to try to eat it. The crab sees its chance and makes a run for the right side of the nest. Bandit follows. The crab goes over the side, into the railings. It waves its claws at Bandit and then falls out, hopefully into the freedom of the water. Bandit looks down, bewildered. Live long and prosper, little crabbie!
