From @coastalresourcesdepartment6657 in Wolf Bay, AL on June 21, 2025. Osprey mom Josie is on the nest feeding out a mackerel. Two chicks are on the nest, not yet fledged. A third chick has fledged. As the wind picks up, the fledgling starts practicing its hovering skills above the nest as its mom and two siblings watch. At about 17:50:50, one of the unfledged chicks starts its own hovering practice. Fantastic! (There was a second fledge the next day.)
