From @obxospreycam on June 5, 2026. Chick #1 goes belly-up and stays that way for about 50 minutes. Chick #1 has moved out near the front railings, snoozing after a meal. It moves around, gets off-balance, and rolls belly-up. We see this at the beginning of this clip. I then skip forward to a couple of times when C1 is struggling to right itself. It seems to have caught its little left wing under a blade of straw, but it manages finally to free its wing. We then see C1 slide closer to the nest bowl. Betsy appears to recognize C1 as her chick, as she moves to brood it. In the last minute or so or the clip, we see C1 squirm and finally right itself, and snuggle in under Betsy. All is well again.
