It's named for the ring of white lights that circle endlessly above its central chamber, glowing through the mist like a halo in the dark. People who’ve seen it from a distance say it looks like a ghost floating in the fog, lit from within by a pale crown of light. But the name means more than that. The ghost is what’s trapped inside, something no longer human, something that once was and now isn’t. The halo is the system that keeps it in stasis, powered by cold light and unbroken silence. The mist isn’t natural. The cold isn’t weather. The place is alive, always watching, always containing. No staff. No warnings.
