Anchored directly into permanent bedrock, the structure remains one of the region’s only fixed points, allowing each new form of the terrain to be measured against the same original reference. A continuous bar of light runs through its interior, marking the level established when Contour was first constructed; during sunrise, the approaching sun briefly aligns with that reference and condenses into a brilliant point at the center of the building, while its exterior catches the low light and turns almost entirely gold. The event was once used as a simple confirmation that Contour itself had not shifted. The surrounding system was expected to eventually settle into an ideal configuration and stop, but generations later the hills continue to rearrange themselves, while every sunrise still finds Contour exactly where it began. __________ OSF: Subscribe • https://www.youtube.com/@OBSIDIANSOUNDFIELDS Contact • https://www.instagram.com/obsidian_soundfields/ Spotify • https://open.spotify.com/artist/6CUKjF2wMpVVLiHrKSshzE ArtStation • https://www.artstation.com/obsidian_soundfields/store?tab=digital_product Fourthwall • https://obsidian-sound-fields-shop.fourthwall.com Linktree • https://linktr.ee/OBSIDIANSOUNDFIELDS Dark ambient liminal sci fi ambience with atmospheric sound design and immersive dreamscape visuals
