The light is not fixed to its fixtures but behaves as a contained field, moving independently of the architecture and reducing the structure itself to a passive frame. Though officially designated as a lighting and transit test facility, internal language describes Afterlight as a containment for momentum, intended to observe what remains when progress continues without the need to arrive. The structure is located adjacent to Night Piercer (OSF-037) and was calibrated using residual data from Shadow Exchange activity, positioning it as a post-exposure environment rather than a destination.
