Though the structure appears completely motionless, OSF observation teams discovered that each band shifts by microscopic amounts throughout the day, producing adjustments too small to be seen directly. These movements occur in coordinated patterns across the entire structure, leading researchers to believe the facility maintains alignment between distant OSF regions separated by vast distances. Communications, navigation systems, and atmospheric synchronization have all been proposed as possible functions, though no theory has been confirmed. The fog surrounding the structure persists regardless of external conditions, concealing its true scale and preventing observation of its uppermost sections.
