Zebra Finch Small Aviary: Chapter 1, Part 3. We often feed millet grass to the birds here. Millet grass is easy and fun to grow. Well, birds usually spill seeds when they eat them. Well, that can be made into millet grass. We've been doing that a lot lately. Because the bottom of the cage is dirt. So the floor of the cage is dirt. So, all we have to do is water it. This was the first time I'd seen zebra finches with millet grass. I'd never had the opportunity to see that before. It turns out zebra finches also enjoy millet grass. They were spotted eating it several times. There were several small mounds of millet grass, all quite tall and green. They weren't fully grown yet, but that's okay. Zebra finches love millet grass, just like other birds.
