Zebra finch small aviary chapter 5 part 5. When you watch this video, you'll immediately be shown a scene of zebra finches eating vegetables—lots of them. Zebra finches with various feather patterns and colors, of all ages, are eating together. They're having breakfast... early in the morning, while they're still fresh. You'll see the zebra finches trying to nibble on small sprouts, biting until they fly off. This is typical of finches with small beaks; they eat by tearing them apart, waving their heads until the food falls apart. This is different from parrots, which hold their food between their beaks. It's pretty cool. In this video, the vegetable menu isn't extensive, just small and large sprouts, fresh curly lettuce, and Brazilian spinach. There's also a little bit of finely sliced purple cabbage. Zebra finches here especially enjoy small sprouts and curly lettuce. We have recorded videos of these zebra finches for several months now.
