Zebra finch small aviary chapter 5 part 7. This morning, the zebra finches had the exact same breakfast as before: small mung bean sprouts, large bean sprouts, sliced carrots, curly green lettuce, and a hard-boiled egg, though the video featured purple cabbage. Why was the boiled egg halved? Well, actually, this is to make it easier for the zebra finches to eat. So they can eat the yolk right away. In my experience, zebra finches can make a hole in a hard-boiled egg, but usually, once they get to the yolk, they're not very interested. They prefer to eat the white. How is that possible? I don't know. Maybe they know which is fat and which is protein? We've fed the zebra finches rice a few times, but not much. About five tablespoons, for about thirty zebra finches at the time. They never finished it. They ate, but only a little bit. They didn't finish it. Just like the egg yolk, they ate a little bit but didn't finish it. Okay, that's the story for now.
