Puerto Rico Town By Town

Beginning in January of 2023, my wife Zoraida and I started visiting a different town in Puerto Rico every two weeks. That means that it will take us over 3 years to visit all 78 municipalities (taking into account unforeseen events such as climate and health issues. We started in the town of Carolina, going clockwise around the municipality of San Juan. Why didn't we cover San Juan (you might ask)? Because that's where Puerto Rico By GPS started, so we thought we could give it a rest and return in a near future as needed. As of June of 2025 we have covered 40 municipalities and the adventure continues.

Get Our Exclusive Guide: “10 MISTAKES FIRST-TIME PUERTO RICO VISITORS MAKE” here: https://accrm.com/s/4849 In this travel vlog we visit the small town of Ceiba on the southeasternmost corner of the larger island of Puerto Rico. Ceiba has struggled since the closing of U.S. Naval Station Roosevelt Roads back in 2004. Hurricane María, in 2017, didn’t do it any favors either. I would love to say many nice things about this little town, but mainly I’ll limit myself to not saying many bad ones. We visited Ceiba on the morning of August 6, 2024. It was a beautiful summer day, so we were able to capture great images. However, the town was mostly deserted. San Antonio de Padua Parish was closed due to damage to the roof suffered during hurricane María. That was seven years ago! The town is mostly clean but devoid a patrons. I wouldn’t quite call it a ghost town, but it’s close. We were also unable to find any attractions, other that a ferry terminal (still under construction) that will connect the main Island of Puerto Rico to the island municipalities of Vieques and Culebra. Ceiba is certainly not a tourist attraction in any sense of the word. It’s just a jumping-off point Puerto Rico’s best beaches on the smaller islands. And of course, as in all our videos, every attraction includes the GPS coordinates for your convenience. ================= VIDEO CHAPTERS ================= 00:00 - Intro 01:12 - Bumper 01:29 - About Ceiba 02:26 - Arrival at Ceiba 02:42 - Saint Antony of Padua Parish 03:05 - Ceiba’s non-compliance with Spanish architectural traditions 03:38 - Felisa Rincón de Gautier 04:18 - Exploring Ceiba 04:44 - El Columpio Beach 05:03 - Ceiba Ferry Terminal 06:10 - Playa Los Machos 07:36 - The Old San Juan Walking Tour ================================ SUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL HERE: ================================ https://www.youtube.com/@puertoricobygps?sub_confirmation=1 ================= RELATED CONTENT ================= Why I Do What I Do? — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jr0pHfFfMJM&t=66sæ La Vuelta Del Bobo”, A Traffic Jam That Puerto Ricans Actually Enjoy — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H434m-b9v7A&t=4s Does GPS Work In Puerto Rico?
