A jury is to determine whether Lindsay Clancy is criminally responsible for killing her three children in 2023 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She was being treated for postpartum mental health issues when she killed the children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, who was 8 months old. Plymouth County Superior Court Judge William Sullivan is presiding over the jury trial, which began on July 27 and is expected to last six to eight weeks.

The jury in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial today heard about her Internet searches in the days before she killed her three children. Prosecutors want Clancy convicted of three counts of premeditated murder. Her defense attorney wants her declared not guilty, arguing the killings were an act of postpartum psychosis and not planned. Investigator Timothy Chapini of the Massachusetts State Police testified today about Clancy Googling “can you treat a sociopath?” on Jan. 20, 2023, four days she strangled 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan in their Duxbury home. Assistant State Attorney Jennifer Sprague also highlighted Clancy’s Internet activity regarding the restaurant she sent her husband to the night she killed their children. In cross-exam, Clancy’s lawyer Kevin Reddington highlighted other searches, including key phrases that included schizophrenia and psychosis.
