A jury is to determine whether Lindsay Clancy is criminally responsible for killing her three children in 2023 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She was being treated for postpartum mental health issues when she killed the children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, who was 8 months old. Plymouth County Superior Court Judge William Sullivan is presiding over the jury trial, which began on July 27 and is expected to last six to eight weeks.

Lindsay Clancy's lawyer cross-examined the final witness in her murder trial today. Kevin Reddington questioned Gregory Saathoff, a senior psychiatrist in the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Behavioral Analysis Unit, for about an hour and four minutes to try to discredit his opinion that Clancy was not psychotic and knew right from wrong when she killed her three children — 8-month-old Callan, 3-year-old Dawson and 5-year-old Cora on Jan. 24, 2023, in Duxbury, Massachusetts. In this clip, he asks about Sathoff's testimony in direct-exam that he wanted to establish a rapport with Clancy. Reddington, a licensed attorney in Massachusetts since 1975, appeared to misspeak, calling 35-year-old Clancy "this kid," then motioned to Clancy at the defense table. "Do you think for one minute, when you're trying to put her in jail for her life, that she wants to talk to you and have a rapport?" Reddington asked. Judge William Sullivan sustained prosecutors' objection, so Reddington asked, "Did you establish a rapport?" "I believe so," Saathoff answered. "She was cooperative?" Reddington asked. "Yes," Saathoff answered. "She was polite?" Reddington asked. "Yes," Saathoff answered. "She was pleasant?" Reddington asked. "Yes. And I asked her at the end if there was any question that I had asked that made her feel uncomfortable, and she responded in a in a positive way," Saathoff answered. Attorneys will give closing arguments tomorrow (Thursday, August 27, day 22). Jurors are to report at 9 a.m. EST to Judge William Sullivan's courtroom in Plymouth County Superior Court.
