A jury is to determine whether Lindsay Clancy is criminally responsible for killing her three children in 2023 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She was being treated for postpartum mental health issues when she killed the children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, who was 8 months old. Plymouth County Superior Court Judge William Sullivan is presiding over the jury trial, which began on July 27 and is expected to last six to eight weeks.

Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sprague began her cross-examination of Lindsay Clancy's mother today by questioning her testimony that her daughter told her she had thoughts of harming her children. Paula Musgrove said in direct-exam that Lindsay told her about the troubling thoughts in December, a month before she killed 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan in what prosecutors allege was premeditated murder. Clancy's lawyer wants her declared not guilty, arguing she is not criminally responsible because she was in a postpartum psychosis and did not know what she was doing. "No, and she did say on the 24th that she was doing good that day. Correct?"
