A jury is to determine whether Lindsay Clancy is criminally responsible for killing her three children in 2023 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She was being treated for postpartum mental health issues when she killed the children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, who was 8 months old. Plymouth County Superior Court Judge William Sullivan is presiding over the jury trial, which began on July 27 and is expected to last six to eight weeks.

A mental health counselor agreed today that Lindsay Clancy was hurting and genuinely seeking help during their four visits in December 2022, one month before Clancy strangled her three young children in their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Prosecutors seeking three murder convictions against Clancy say she knew what she was doing, but her defense lawyer Kevin Reddingotn says she killed the children while experiencing postpartum psychosis and should be found not guilty. Reddington ended his cross-examination of mental health counselor Latiesha Dukes this afternoon (Wednesday, August 12, day 12) by asking her about Clancy's attitude and efforts. "Bottom line is, from your dealing with Lindsay, she appeared to be sincere, right?" Reddington asked. "Correct," Dukes answered. "She appeared to be looking for help, right?" Reddington asked. "Correct," Dukes answered. "She appeared to be hurting, right?" Reddington asked. "Correct," Dukes answered. "Turning in every direction she could for help, right?" Reddington asked.
