Big picture concepts are what matter the most and while most of the fitness industry is arguing about details, the big picture ideas are pretty well established. First, do SOMETHING… nothing gets you nowhere. Whatever you choose to do to stay fit, make sure you enjoy it. Make sure it agrees with your body and is something you can do over the long run. Put effort into, do it well, and structure your approach to stay consistent. That’s the vast majority of what works, and whatever else you learn is largely relevant insofar as it helps you figure out how to do those things better. Unless you are a high level athlete or bodybuilder, focusing on the details is more of a distraction than it a contribution.
