Leaving Rishiri Island was much harder than I expected. After saying goodbye to everyone and taking the ferry back to Wakkanai, I realized something. I’ve spent almost three years living as a nomad and rarely staying anywhere for longer than two weeks. This lifestyle has given me freedom and countless unforgettable experiences, but it also made me wonder if I can ever stay in one place again. Can I build lasting relationships, show people every side of myself, and truly belong somewhere?
