I made it to one of Japan’s most remote islands 🇯🇵🏝️ Rishiri Island sits off the northern coast of Hokkaido, surrounded by the sea and dominated by the incredible Mt. Rishiri. I originally came here just to explore, but things quickly changed. I started meeting local people, learning about life on the island, and even got the chance to help with sea urchin and Rishiri kelp processing. I’ve only just arrived, but I already feel like there’s so much more to discover here.
