Full rules: https://sunshineislandgame.com/sweepstakes/promotionalguidelines I’m getting so close to one of the biggest moments in this restoration - finally putting the historic windows back into my abandoned 120-year-old general store. In this episode, I’m finishing up the interior paint on the original window sashes and getting them one step closer to installation. Restoring these old windows has taken much longer than I ever expected, and with around 26 sashes needing to be painted, I’m realizing I’m going to need some help to keep things moving. I also still need to get the window glass, which is one of the next big things I’ll be tackling this week. Once that’s done, these restored sashes can finally start going back where they belong. This abandoned general store and former post office has been a massive historic renovation project, and the windows have been one of the longest-running parts of the entire restoration. After months of repairing, sanding, priming and painting these original wood window sashes, I can finally see the payoff getting close. We’re not quite at installation day yet, but we’re getting there - and I have a feeling seeing these windows back on the building is going to completely change the way this place looks. Thanks for following along as I continue restoring this abandoned historic general store, preserving as much of the original building as I can, and bringing this 1900s property back to life little by little.
