My dad and John are helping me take apart and remove the old wooden shelving, making room for the upcoming DIY renovations. This is an important step in transforming this historic building and bringing it back to life. Clearing out the space is essential before moving forward with structural repairs, flooring decisions, electrical updates, insulation, and interior design. The rooms upstairs have been sitting for years, collecting dust, dirt, and clutter, so deep cleaning and organizing are necessary before any major changes can begin. Removing the built-in wooden shelves will help open up the space and allow for a better layout as I plan the next steps in this home renovation project. As part of this old building restoration, I’ll be working on demolition, reconstruction, home remodeling, and design updates. There are many challenges in restoring an abandoned commercial building, including assessing structural integrity, repairing walls, rewiring electrical, updating plumbing, and choosing between wood flooring or concrete. Each decision will shape the final transformation of this fixer-upper renovation. This space has so much potential, and I can’t wait to turn it into something beautiful and functional. If you enjoy DIY home improvement, before-and-after makeovers, house flipping, historic building preservation, or full-scale home renovations, be sure to follow along for updates on this exciting project. Make sure to subscribe for more progress on this DIY renovation, and drop a comment if you have any renovation tips or design ideas—I’d love to hear them!
