After a long HOT week, I finally made some progress on the Brush Hog. The whole "couple wraps of the winch rope around a drum to rotate lift arms up and down to raise and lower the brush hog" idea was dumb. There simply wasn't any room for any of it! I stepped back and came up with a much simpler way...I think. I'll just use a piece of chain to hold the front up and use the winch to directly raise and lower it. I'm going to use a block and tackle sort of system to ease the strain on the winch. It's not that the winch can't raise the brush hot, the problem is that it can't hold it when power is cut to the motor. I'm pretty sure this will work...we'll see. Thanks for watching! Bill
