Delta Flight 1568, a Boeing 737-900 arriving from Pittsburgh, initiated a go-around after another aircraft was slow to clear the runway. At nearly the same time, Delta Flight 2472, an Airbus A321 departing for Rochester, was climbing away from a parallel runway. The two aircraft were then placed on converging flight paths, triggering TCAS collision-avoidance warnings in both cockpits. Reports indicate that the jets came within approximately 1,800 feet horizontally and 600 feet vertically before the crews followed their resolution advisories and restored separation.
