If you like my videos and want to support me, then you can do that here: https://www.patreon.com/c/SirManateee Thank you :) Tips: https://ko-fi.com/sirmanatee This video will be all about the heinous murder of Walther Rathenau, one of the most intelligent and capable politicians of the Weimar Republic. Ever since he entered government, he had been part of a far-right smear campaign which tried to defame him simply because he was a Jew, a republican and an intellectual. In June 1922, he was then assassinated by two young terrorists. But why? What made him such an important target? And who was behind it? These questions and many more will be answered in this video. Furthermore, we’ll see how the Weimar Republic as a whole reacted and how the German public stood behind democracy much more than is often assumed.
