In this video, we break down Marvel Studios’ newly announced Ghost Rider movie, Gosling’s potential as Johnny Blaze or Danny Ketch, and why Levy may be far too safe and visually uninspired for a supernatural Marvel film with this much potential. Shawn Levy has proven that he can handle massive studio productions, comedy, spectacle, and emotional father-son stories. But Ghost Rider needs more than competence. It needs horror, atmosphere, personality, and a filmmaker willing to embrace the character’s darker, stranger side. Directors like Sam Raimi, Scott Derrickson, or Fede Álvarez feel far better suited to bringing Marvel’s Spirit of Vengeance to life.
