In this video, I break down why Marvel’s Doctor Doom already feels rushed, how Doomsday appears to be rewriting Victor’s origin and relationship with Reed Richards, why the Fantastic Four should be central to his story, and how Marvel may have simply replaced Kang without rebuilding the story around Doom. We’ll also look back at every previous live-action Doctor Doom, from the 1994 Fantastic Four and Julian McMahon to Fant4stic, explore what makes Victor such a complex character in the comics, and discuss why Marvel should have given Robert Downey Jr. a standalone Doctor Doom movie before throwing him into Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.
