Plant electro-tropism is a living organism's response to natural internal and external electrical forces. Electro-tropism is why branches and woody plants in close proximity grow away from each other. Common plant directional tropisms are Chemotropism, Gravitropism, Hydro- tropism, Heliotropism, Phototropism, Thermotropism, and Thigmotropism—although none consider electric force vectors. Voltage recordings done on a variety of trees and plants demonstrate large numbers of electrons continuously flowing towards branch tips, with or without leaves. Woody tree parts are a physical record of electrical flow, just like a Lichtenberg Figure is a physical record of electrical flow. Arthur Ramthun, P.E., is a civil engineer who has taken it upon himself to explore, experiment and develop a new base of knowledge on Plant Electro-tropism. This is a re-release of his conference presentation at EU2015: Paths of Discovery.
