Narrated by David Drew. Fifth episode in the Misconception series on the EU Model—with a focus on gravitational theory. Hypothesized collisions, explosions, and slow accretion processes don't match the observations—and do not work experimentally. Decades of planetary simulations show gravitational accretion achieves an object the size of a pebble. The common demonstration of space-time curvature—placing a large ball on a rubber sheet (the Sun), with smaller balls (planets) attracted to it—essentially uses gravity to explain gravity. This circular reasoning persists largely unchallenged. Sir Oliver Lodge said “...if a special geometry has to be invented to account for a falling apple, even Newton might be appalled at the complications which would ensue when really difficult problems are tackled.” An accurate description of the struggle to understand gravity’s true nature without resorting to abstract geometries. If gravity functions as an electric dipole force between subatomic particles, as Wal Thornhill has proposed, then it 'daisy chains' through matter, irrespective of conductivity. This explains why gravity doesn’t interfere with essential electrons. Author and independent researcher David Drew sums it up—the science isn’t settled.
