The Time Keeper (also known as Maxwell Keeper or Johnny Apple Watch) is a 36-year-old Tallahassee, Florida resident who dedicates his entirely non-supernatural life to the observation and absolute celebration of time. Born on a Leap Day, he works at a watch repair shop owned by his brother-in-law, Desmond Longo, where he enthusiastically calls waiting customers every ten minutes to announce the current time based strictly on the sun. Known for his signature catchphrase "Tick tock!" and the local Florida greeting "Hip heap hip hooray," Maxwell leads a strictly straight-edge lifestyle that was forcibly thrust upon him after a group of hillbillies drew Xs on his hands. He possesses highly specific chronological opinions—harboring a deep hatred for the time 4:20, considering 12 minutes to be his least favorite duration (calling it "a real NBA quarter"), and idolizing the 1923 silent film Safety Last! solely for its iconic clock-hanging scene. Outside of his local horological duties, Maxwell moonlights as a freelance Hollywood entertainment consultant who champions time-based media, famously claiming Billie Eilish rejected his original lyrics for the James Bond film No Time to Die because they were entirely about his brother-in-law.
