Currently Playing: Are Last Year’s Halloween Summon Units Still Good?

Last year’s Halloween summon had some of the coolest units in Garden Tower Defense — Headless, Skullflower, Pumpcrawler, Molten Pumpkin, Thornzilla, Deathisha and Witch Leaf. With this year’s Halloween update coming, let’s see if they still hold up. Witch Leaf is the obvious one. A full year later it’s still in almost every serious build I make (Volcanic Island aside). Skullflower and Headless are both solid starters too. The rest… not so much. Deathisha only does 26 damage, which is a lot lower than I remembered. Molten Pumpkin sits at 568 DPS. Thornzilla has decent AoE but a pretty weak attack. And Pumpcrawler is, to put it kindly, not great. We took the whole team into Garden Grind. Honest assessment partway through: aside from Witch Leaf this team is not good — and by the late waves I was moving Witch Leaves around the map constantly just to keep the run alive. Some enemies refused to transform at all. Made it through wave 34, then got caught looking by the fast snail. Entirely my fault. Which Halloween unit do you want to see return this year?
