Currently Playing: Can a ROOT ONLY Team Beat An Impossible Challenge In Garden Tower Defense?

Today we’re building a full root team in Garden Tower Defense — but first, fertilizer. We had 30 saved up and rolled Witch Leaf until we hit an Epic Sight 3 for +6.5% range, which is a huge upgrade. The team: Electric Beetroot, Drain Root, Hell Root, Lucky Rift Root, Rooted Excalibur, Gold Lucky Latch Root and Shock Root. Electric Beetroot after its rework is genuinely great — the chain absolutely wrecks early waves and it hits level 5 almost immediately. Drain Root is expensive but once it’s level 5 and its ability unlocks it can hit the entire map. The problem is everything else. This team has no crowd control and not much DPS, and the 4 million HP boss on wave 32 ended the first attempt without much argument. So I did something I’ve been avoiding: I put Confusion Plant in. Not a root unit. We beat the map on the second attempt and I’m putting an asterisk on the win, because there’s no way it happens without it.
