“You’re looking for ‘Me’... but nobody’s there.” The Mirror Is Empty is a cinematic gothic metal song about losing yourself inside the reflection you created. Identity starts to blur, the image keeps changing, and eventually there’s nothing left behind the glass. Listen to VantyX Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6S8fbGDAixYflEInNHLIJl Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/us/artist/vantyx/6771621002 Dark female vocals, industrial textures, crushing guitars, heavy drums, and nu-metal intensity build a cold, distorted atmosphere around the idea of becoming a stranger to your own reflection. The Mirror Is Empty // Official Lyrics You think you see yourself But the silver is lying The glass isn't breaking It's breathing Don't look away Just melt I stare at the surface It is cold and grey My face is a ghost That keeps drifting away The edges are blurring The center is gone A digital sunset Never a dawn I am touching the silver It ripples like skin Where does the mask end And I begin? The reflection is hungry It is drinking my name Changing my shape Keeping the shame It is fluid It is freezing It is me Let me in Drown in the liquid mirror The image is clearer As you disappear Bending the truth Feeding the fear I am a ripple of static A wave of despair You are looking for me But nobody is there Nobody is there Black ink in the water Velvet and lead The version you love Is already dead I am a thousand reflections In one single drop A cycle of madness That never will stop Upgrade the soul Or lose control Shattered but flowing Lost but I am growing The glass is a liquid My soul is a liquid Stay real Drown in the liquid mirror The image is clearer As you disappear Bending the truth Feeding the fear I am a ripple of static A wave of despair You are looking for me But nobody is there Just a reflection VantyX The mirror is empty ℗ & © 2026 VantyX Records.
