Currently Playing: I played Black Flag Resynced and I'm worried

Yet another AAAA Ubisoft game Get 20% when buying G Fuel: https://www.gfuel.com/THATBOYAQUA To say I was excited for Black Flag Resynced upon its announcement would be a bit of an understatement. Now that I have actually played it for a few hours, I’d say the biggest word to come to mind is disillusioned. I still think Black Flag Resynched is going to be good, and I still plan on buying it, but I really don’t think this is going to be the home run I thought it would be. It’s more like, uh you know, getting to third base. For what it’s worth, Black Flag Resynced is one of the best looking games of the generation. Every scene is bursting with color, detail, and there were so many times where I audibly said to myself, wow this looks good. Every city, seaport, and outfit is recreated with care and while certain things look different because of added detail, it never felt flat out changed, just expanded. I think this is clearly seen when we look at the cutscenes, comparing them between the original and resynced. There's been some discourse online about how they changed the lighting, but they tend to ignore the weather system in Black Flag, which often affected certain scenes. That’s not to say they haven’t changed certain things and that we can’t be disappointed in that, and I myself have my gripes that I’ll soon mention, but for the love of god we need to stop this trend of hating on Ubisoft for things they didn’t do when it’s so abundantly easy to hate on them for the things they actually do. Returning to the visuals, the thing I noticed most when playing was that everything in the game just pops a bit more than it did in the original. My assumption was that this was a minor step up in fidelity, I mean, Black Flag looks good from what I remember, but now that I’ve replayed the game one week ago as of writing, hell, I don’t know man, the difference is night and day, clear skies and a bellowing storm. But there is one big caveat to my praises here, which is that I don’t know if systems will be able to keep up with that performance. I did some poking around in the settings during my remote session where I saw that the game was set to 1080p, with DLSS on, set to quality mode, and everything else seemingly maxed out. We were told that 4K capability will be playable on release, and when it comes to consoles I believe that. I have played every new Assassin’s Creed release on Playstation, and then I typically buy the game again to replay it on PC, and the performance is always better on consoles. Even Assassin’s Creed Shadows, a game I felt was gorgeous, runs fine on there with minimal slowdowns, and since Black Flag Resynced is on the same engine, I think this game will indeed be able to hit 4K 30 fps or prioritise 60fps at a dynamic resolution like we had with Shadows; but I am severely worried about PC performance. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a full remake of the original AC4 is finally here, and while this isn't an Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced review, I will give my in depth thoughts on what I hav e played so far, with a focus on the Black Flag Resynced performance, as while the Black Flag Resynced comparison, shots might be nice, I think the way the game runs will undoubtedly be the black flag resynced controversy, if there were to be some kind of black flag resynced drama. Marketing has already misrepresented the game, such as using the black flag gun kata label when describing basic combat. Anyways, enjoy this Black Flag Resynced gameplay.
